An easy target: how businesswomen became a target for predators

Oh, how to start with it?

I have been an entrepreneur my entire life, from a family of dominating female entrepreneurs; I have never imagined what they had to go through to pave the way for me.

In today’s world, the role of women in the business arena has grown tremendously, and we have proven we are valuable and significant in various industries and professions; some have shown considerable growth just by adding a feminine touch.

For that alone, we businesswomen deserve the same level of respect and professionalism as their male counterparts.

Do not worry. Men can keep reading this article and maybe learn something new instead of going on with lies, believing that they know it all!

Unfortunately, there are instances where individuals misuse business opportunities to manipulate women into unwanted situations, such as romantic involvement. I can say with property you that this is a sign of weakness from the man and a tiring projection on how women are seen and treated.

In this blog post, we’ll explore why respecting women in business is crucial and avoid using their professional journey to exploit or manipulate them for personal gain.

As an entrepreneur, I can say that now, being on my sixth business venture, the ones I had great success at had something in common: No males involved.

In one way or another, no male power is involved, either by investment, suggestions, romantically, or as a whisper. I am not saying that we can’t have it all, but in my case, I do not appreciate being taken advantage of simply because I am short on money or my ambitions are grand.

All these years, I have been approached by so-called good businessmen who want to mentor me and see me grow, and it would be great if it were sincere, but it is a rare breed to find. That is why I decided to write and call my article An easy target: How Businesswomen Became a target for Predators, to help us understand why these are happening today and how you can genuinely help a businesswoman.

Because the majority get caught fantasizing about what it could be if I looked at them differently or fell in love.

It’s funny because love for me is a healing power that I distribute already free of charge, while romantically, love, for those who know me, is felt in minutes, and I don’t fear expressing it. So when someone believes it will happen one day, it becomes highly prosaic.

How can you assure a businesswoman that you are there for her as a steadfast supporter? Check out the list I made below (and if you still can’t understand it, please book me as your coach so I can help you be a real man ūüėČ):

1. Equal treatment

Respecting businesswomen is not just a matter of personal ethics; it is a fundamental aspect of promoting gender equality and empowering women. Get the stick out of your ass, and stop believing that you know it all or that your intentions are so good that she has to accept your nonsense.

Part of being a great human is to humble ourselves, listen to others, and read the room.

When we appreciate their professional accomplishments, we contribute to breaking down stereotypes and preconceived notions about women’s capabilities. It encourages women to pursue their dreams and ambitions without fearing exploitation or exploitation in the workplace.

2. Professionalism

Business transactions should be characterized by professionalism and ethical conduct. Manipulating or coercing a businesswoman into a romantic or sexual relationship is unethical and harmful to her career and emotional well-being. Respect for professional boundaries is crucial to maintaining a healthy work environment where everyone can thrive.

Let’s make a rule: do not try it! Imagine that regardless of how intelligent, beautiful, and powerful she is, you will be doing a disservice by bringing up your feelings about a business relationship.

It is tough to be seen beyond our bodies because even if we are not the “girl next door” stereotype, if we wear something that catches anyone’s eye, that is who will be the attractive girl. No, because of prejudice, many will even refuse to listen.

3. Encouraging Entrepreneurship

Respecting businesswomen is essential for encouraging entrepreneurship among women. When women see their business acumen and expertise are valued and respected, they are more likely to take risks and start their ventures. This can lead to increased innovation and economic growth in society.

4. Building Trust and Credibility

Trust is the cornerstone of any successful business relationship. When we respect businesswomen, we build trust and credibility in the business world. Trust is vital for establishing long-term partnerships, attracting investors, and maintaining a positive reputation in the industry. Manipulation and misconduct erode trust and can have severe consequences for both parties.

5. It’s a reflection of who you are

Respecting businesswomen goes hand in hand with personal growth and self-respect. It reflects positively on one’s character and values. Treating
others with dignity and respect, regardless of gender, benefits the individuals involved and contributes to a more inclusive and harmonious society.

When someone says they are good or excellent and honest, it doesn’t mean a thing.

In a world where we are constantly bombarded by negative news every minute, it’s essential to talk less, listen, and observe more.

We cannot go around thinking that people will understand or accept our behavior simply because we say so.

Even if you are not a Christian, here is a passage for us to reflect:

1 John 3:18:‚ÄúDear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth‚ÄĚ.

6. Legal and Ethical Consequences

Using business to manipulate or coerce someone into a romantic or sexual relationship can have legal and ethical consequences.

For you: Harassment, misconduct, or unwanted advances can lead to lawsuits, damage to one’s reputation, and even criminal charges.

For her, Shame, fear, self-blame, financial losses, self-punishment, loneliness, depression, suicidal thoughts, and feelings of not deservedness or belonging, plus strangle her opportunities to trust and grow as a person and professional.

Respecting professional boundaries is not just the right thing to do; it also safeguards one’s future.

Respecting businesswomen is not only a moral imperative but also a crucial element in promoting gender equality, professionalism, and ethical conduct in the business world. Business should be conducted based on merit, competence, and mutual respect rather than as an opportunity for personal gain or manipulation. We contribute to a more equitable and prosperous society by treating businesswomen with the respect they deserve.

I miss watching Dog The Bounty Hunter. lol Back in 2019 I had a Management job. And this very charismatic fellow manager told me at one point that he wanted to mentor me ! It was nice that he liked me and he did seem to be very politically connected within the company. But he would also tell you that he was connected and was always promoting himself to the point where he was annoying.
As they say when the student is ready the teacher will appear. I was never his student But he did tell me things that turned out to be true. And gave me another reason to move on.

I don’t think I have watched it, but yeah I get your point. I do hope that more people, have taken the time to read and implement in their lives what I talk about. The amount of frustration is unbearable.
      Bless you, my dear! ūüíú
